Chapter 1
What do we want to achieve?
Our idea besides the initiative is to give you instructions and recommendations for:
- Defining the approach and methods that are useful for mobilizing young people to join sport activities by making them more attractive to them.
- In this Manual we presented the methodology which includes outdoor activities and multisport approach and is developed by our team.
Even more, this methodology is offering the educational dimension of the sport, in and through it, and it gives explanation how to do it for sport clubs, camps and organizations with no experience in this topic. This also goes for the more active role of sport in awareness raising campaigns that can be interesting to young people.
Besides introducing education and awareness rising approach to our target group we also want to teach clubs and other stakeholders to prepare high quality communication activities that will inspire young people to join DOS activities and programs.
